Purity - Bible/Letter Study

Purity Part One: Purity is Important to God

"And you, even you who are called Christian, you also shall be tried. For as silver purified in the furnace seven times, so shall I purify you until I have burned away the dross, until you also become a holy people set apart for My name, grafted in. For I must refine My people and separate My flocks, as a shepherd separates the sheep from the goats, as the hired man calls them out from amongst them. For I am The Shepherd, and in My servants I shall surely dwell." (From “My Word Is Fire”)

Let no one despise your youth, but be an example to the believers in word, in conduct, in love, in spirit, in faith, in purity. (1 Timothy 4:12)

"Therefore, thus says The Holy One of Israel: Beloved, I have spoken to you firmly, and with a stern voice I have declared the controversy of The Lord; with a multitude of words and unending mercy, I have spoken and shall continue to speak. For I am The Lord, and I do not change. I do what is right, I alone know what is most needful.
Thus I have called for a right heart within My servants, for My people to walk in My ways without reservation.(From “I Am Calling You Out! (Part 1)”)

"So then, do I call you to serve Me? I do, if you are willing to serve Me in all righteousness, without compromise. Do I then require that you be perfect? No. For there is none perfect, save The Holy One of Israel. Rather I require that you strive to be unto Me a servant of pure heart, of pure intention, a disciple who loves Me with all his heart, understanding and strength, and also loves his neighbor as himself. For it is written and remains standing, that one can not be crowned unless they strive lawfully.” (From “Blessed Are Those Who Overcome for My Name’s Sake”)

Purity of Heart and Mind

  • Purifying your heart and mind is the first and most important step.

How can a young man cleanse his way? By taking heed according to Your word. (Psalm 119:9)

He who loves purity of heart and has grace on his lips, the king will be his friend. (Proverbs 22:11)

"Therefore, run to Me at all times and in every season, My sons, and cease not from humbling yourselves before Me. Purify your hearts and purge your minds, for it is time. Open your mouths in silence, and breathe Me in. Pour your hearts upon the floor, empty out every chamber. Purge your bowels, and let your innards grumble and make a great noise. Let your palates dry up for thirst, and drink no more from all these polluted fountains. Plug your ears, that the noise of this world goes silent, and cover your eyes, that you may no more look upon all these abominations, and wait upon Me.
Beloved, your body is My temple; now prepare My place before Me. For from the womb did I set you apart; before your flesh was formed, I knew you and chose you for My purpose. Therefore consider My words, and make your decision, and I shall surely finish it, says The Lord." (From “Called According to The Lord’s Purpose”)

Purity of Life

  • Purity of life includes doing those outward things which would be pleasing to The Lord, and letting go of everything which is not pleasing. (This includes what you watch on TV and the internet, movies, and music, etc.) This is the second step regarding purity. First one must purify their mind and heart; then purifying your outward life is easier, even a by-product of purifying your heart and mind.

"Thus says The Lord YahuShua: Beloved, a sincere desire to be free from the iniquity of this world is good and well-pleasing to The Lord. For one who truly loves Me seeks to please Me." (From “Obey God”)

"For these know Me, and I live in them. And together we shall walk, choosing the good and refusing the evil, until we walk together anew in My kingdom, says The Lord." (From “Walking Together in The Father’s Joy”)

Living Sacrifices

From YahuShua HaMashiach, Our Lord and Savior
The Word of The Lord Spoken to Timothy

Thus says The Lord: My children, do you love Me? Then do as I command you. Grow wise in Me, and live according to My Word, even according to all these Letters I have given you, by which I have set all these crooked paths straight. For My every word is Scripture, My every Letter truth. Be cognizant of My comings and goings. For I have indeed come to live in those who have received of Me, those who obey My voice and embrace Me as I truly am.
Again, I say to you, honor Me first with your ways, then with your mouth. For honor only spoken of is but wind, the veil of the hypocrite who knows not where he is going, having no remorse over where he has been. For how can one who professes to love Me live contrary to Me? Beloved ones, I love you as I love The Father. In the same way, whoever loves Me loves The Father also. I obey The Father in all things, because I love The Father and The Father is in Me. Likewise those who are truly My disciples obey My voice, because they love Me and I live in them.
So then, walk in My ways and be for Me examples, letting your light so shine before men, that they may see your good works and glorify your Father in Heaven, as it is written. Beloved ones, show them the Way by your faith and obedience, that they too may come to walk beside Me, even upon the Highway of Holiness, each at their appointed time, each in due season. For I tell you the truth, to walk where The Son of God walks, you must become like Me; crucifying your lives of old, separating yourselves from the bitter enmity which is of this world and the churches of men, living sacrifices who seek to please The Father in all their ways.
For it is written: If anyone desires to come after Me, let him deny himself and take up his cross, and follow Me. For whoever desires to save his life will lose it, but whoever loses his life for My sake will find it. For what profit is it to a man if he gains the whole world, and loses his own soul? Or what will a man give in exchange for his soul? Therefore, those who strive to hold onto their life in this world will lose it, having already become dead men’s bones in a wasteland of many sorrows, leading and following others on the wide path to destruction.

Beloved, what are all these things of this world compared with your life? What is their worth? And what of all these works of man? Are they not passing away? Again I ask you, what is their value? I tell you the truth, whoever loves anything in this world, more than Me, is not worthy of Me. For I am The Only Way, The Only Truth and The Only Life. There is nothing apart from Me.

Therefore come and follow Me,
For I am called Jesus The Christ...

My name: YahuShua HaMashiach...

The only name under Heaven
By which you must be saved.

~ From: "Living Sacrifices"

To Achieve Purity of Heart and Mind, One Must Continually Call Upon The Lord in Prayer

"You have indeed chosen Me, says The Lord, even as I have chosen you. Yet understand this: I will no more share you, I will no more be divided in you. Decide, make the decision, draw the line in the sand! Rebuke temptation in My name; say to temptation and he who is the tempter, “YOU SHALL PROCEED NO FURTHER!”... “I am The Lord’s! And I will no more give myself to diverse lusts, to the cares and deceits of my flesh and this world... I AM THE LORD’S! My heart, it is The Lord’s; My mind, it is The Lord’s; My will, it is The Lord’s; My flesh, it is The Lord’s; the whole of my body, even all I am, I give to The Lord... I am The Lord’s! Yea, I pour out my life before The Lord, even as He poured out His; let me receive it! In the name of My Love, I call out in YahuShua’s name, I ask to receive it!... YahuShua, My Life and My Righteousness, I want Your life!... My Lord and my God, I am yours! Do with me as You please, according to the good pleasure of Your will. I give myself away. Amen.”" (From “Poured Out”)

Purge me with hyssop, and I shall be clean; Wash me, and I shall be whiter than snow. Make me hear joy and gladness, that the bones You have broken may rejoice. Hide Your face from my sins, and blot out all my iniquities. Create in me a clean heart, O God, and renew a steadfast spirit within me. (Psalm 51:7-10)

"Take my life, it’s Yours! You offered Yourself up to suffering and death, on account of what I have done. I deserve my punishment, yet You bore my sins upon the tree, even the sins of those I love. I can not approach Your love, but by any and all means, I shall strive to show You my love and my gratitude. I leave my heart open to You; mold it, create in me a pure heart, for I long to see Your face. Renew in me a right spirit, that I may be steadfast for Your purpose and walk in Your ways." (From “My Redeemer Lives”)

Purity Part Two: Avoiding Sin

  • In order for one to seek purity effectively, you must first be able to identify sin. Sin is anything which goes against God, His Law, His will, His spirit or His commands. To disobey God is sin... Therefore, obey God.

Yet those who love Me obey My commands and give heed to the leading of My spirit, for the two are in agreement. It is written: God is love. And if I am love, then obey Me as I have loved you; remember My decrees and obey My Commandments. Reveal to every onlooker that I am indeed your First Love, and I alone deserve your worship. (From “Do Not Be Tempted by the World, For Its Ways Lead Only to Blasphemy and Sin”)

Thus says The Risen Lamb: Therefore, as I have unleavened all men by My sacrifice, in the same way must those who live in Me crucify their lives daily, bearing their cross after Me. For the first six days of the feast shall be for a physical representation of My command to you: You are forgiven, now go out and sin no more. Be then separate from the ways of this world and the churches of men, and be for Me a strange and peculiar people who remain in My love, even as I kept The Father’s commands and remain in His love. (From “Unleavened”)

The Ten Commandments - God’s Holy Law

  • To break any of The Commandments is a sin. Therefore, keep The Commandments.

And God spoke all these words: “I am The Lord your God, who brought you out of Egypt, out of the land of slavery. You shall have no other gods before me. You shall not make for yourself an image in the form of anything in heaven above or on the earth beneath or in the waters below. You shall not bow down to them or worship them; for I, The Lord your God, am a jealous God, punishing the children for the sin of the parents to the third and fourth generation of those who hate me, but showing love to a thousand generations of those who love me and keep my commandments. You shall not misuse the name of The Lord your God, for The Lord will not hold anyone guiltless who misuses his name.
Remember the Sabbath day by keeping it holy. Six days you shall labor and do all your work, but the seventh day is a sabbath to The Lord your God. On it you shall not do any work, neither you, nor your son or daughter, nor your male or female servant, nor your animals, nor any foreigner residing in your towns. For in six days The Lord made the heavens and the earth, the sea, and all that is in them, but he rested on the seventh day. Therefore The Lord blessed the Sabbath day and made it holy.
Honor your father and your mother, so that you may live long in the land The Lord your God is giving you. You shall not murder. You shall not commit adultery. You shall not steal. You shall not give false testimony against your neighbor. You shall not covet your neighbor’s house. You shall not covet your neighbor’s wife, or his male or female servant, his ox or donkey, or anything that belongs to your neighbor.” (Exodus 20:1-17)

Therefore, this is how you shall know the children of God: They keep The Commandments and have the Testimony of YahuShua The Messiah, who is called Jesus and Christ. For if one comes and has the Testimony, yet seeks not to keep The Commandments of God, he is a liar and shall be found as such in the Day of The Lord. And if one comes, saying, “Keep The Commandments,” yet has not the Testimony of YahuShua The Messiah, this one also shall be found a liar. (From “Thus Says The Lord, by The Spirit of Truth: Obey The Commandments”; Revelation 12:17, Revelation 14:12, 1 John 2:4)

"For I have written The Law in the hearts of all men; all are able to discern right from wrong. Thus they choose to rebel; they remain in their sins. For I have indeed written it, even on tablets of stone and within the heart of man, and within the pages of My Book it is made plain. Thus they are without excuse.
For I am God alone, The Righteous One. I alone am holy, just and good; I alone have divided right from wrong; I alone have established The Law and define what is sin. Behold, I expose the darkness and bring all hidden things into the light. For I alone sit as Judge, The Only Faithful and True Witness." (From “I Shall Correct and Discipline All Those I Love”)

"Therefore, keeping The Law is a reflection of My own spirit in you. For anyone who says, “I am in The Lord and He is in Me,” while forsaking The Law, is a liar, and will be found as such in the Day of Reckoning. For I AM WHO I AM, the same and unchanging, nor do I stand divided against Myself. Yet My children do continually use My name and that gift given them as a sword by which they attempt to justify their sins, which I hate! Desecration! Thus until the Day be fulfilled, let those who do wickedly continue therein, and let those who seek righteousness walk therein, until the harvest is complete. But oh how blessed are those who have received of Grace, and seek to please The Father by obeying His Law, and teach men so... Grace AND The Law." (From “You Shall Not Use Grace as a Sword, By Which You Attempt to Slay The Moral Law”)

"Shall My people reach toward Heaven with their hands, while their feet continue to tread the wide path which leads to destruction? And how shall one who loves Me take My hand and walk beside Me, with one foot on the good ground and the other in the grave?
Therefore knowledge must increase, and sin decrease, to enter The Kingdom of Heaven. For one who is under grace bears fruit of the same; and The One who kept The Law of The Father revealed that grace by works. So then, Grace is first and everlasting. Then comes works, the first works done in faith, even the first fruits bore in your lives... Which is to love The Father and one another, by keeping The Law, says The Lord." (From “Grace AND The Moral Law”)

"For it is written and remains standing, that one can not be crowned unless they strive lawfully...
My son, I am the fulfillment of The Law, the very goal at which the Torah aims. Thus all those who embrace Me are freed from the curse of The Law, but by no means are they now free to forsake The Law. Rather let The Law be written in your heart, for now you are under grace, and by the power of My own spirit are you now able to keep The Law... Beloved, come to Me and receive! Let Me wash you and make you clean, that you may now arise and walk in My ways." (From “Blessed Are Those Who Overcome for My Name’s Sake”)

Therefore hear the Word of The Lord and give heed, for thus declares The Lord: One Commandment broken are all Commandments broken. One sin committed in The Messiah’s name are all sins accounted to you. One sin repented in His name, all are forgiven you. For I know your thoughts, My children, even your innermost intentions, and I know whether or not you are fully converted in your hearts. And though you may lie to yourselves, and bear false witness in the sight of many witnesses, nothing is hidden from the eyes of God - every lie exposed, every heart laid bare, in the Day I rise up and judge the earth.
Come to Me, therefore, in sincerity and in truth; humble yourselves in The Messiah’s name. For He is The True Light, utterly void of darkness, The Only Way to follow, The Truth Absolute; by Him alone shall you walk into everlasting life. For only those who walk in Him shall find Me,  and only those in union with Him shall know Me, says The Lord. (From “Transgression”)

Other Sins

  • There are sins, which are not specifically listed in The Ten Commandments. They are more subtle, and thus easily dismissed by some. However, ALL sin requires forgiveness, no matter how seemingly large or small.

Now the deeds of the flesh are evident, which are: immorality, impurity, sensuality, idolatry, sorcery, enmities, strife, jealousy, outbursts of anger, disputes, dissensions, factions, envying, drunkenness, carousing, and things like these, of which I forewarn you, just as I have forewarned you, that those who practice such things will not inherit the kingdom of God. (Galatians 5:19-21)

These six things The Lord hates, yes, seven are an abomination to Him: A proud look, a lying tongue, hands that shed innocent blood, a heart that devises wicked plans, feet that are swift in running to evil, a false witness who speaks lies, and one who sows discord among brethren. (Proverbs 6:16-19)

But know this, that in the last days perilous times will come: For men will be lovers of themselves, lovers of money, boasters, proud, blasphemers, disobedient to parents, unthankful, unholy, unloving, unforgiving, slanderers, without self-control, brutal, despisers of good, traitors, headstrong, haughty, lovers of pleasure rather than lovers of God, having a form of godliness but denying its power. And from such people turn away! (2 Timothy 3:1-5)

All Sin Is Sin, and Requires Forgiveness; Repent, and Ask For Forgiveness, and It Shall Be Given

"Thus says The Lord: It is the penitent man who shall know God, and penitent you must be; die to yourselves daily. Cast off the skin of this world and walk with Me as I am, and not as you would have Me be.
Beloved ones, do you long to obey? Then obey. Do you wish to stay clean? Then stay clean. Doubt is your enemy, doubt is a stone of stumbling at your feet. For I tell you the truth, one whose faith has come to completion, having received the full revelation of who I am, will not sin. For only the face of The Holy One is before their eyes.
Beloved ones, only One is without sin, The Son of Man. Yet the desire to sin is still within you, and now also The Truth, and so the battle rages. Therefore, beware. For doubt leads to disobedience, and to disobey God is sin, and the penalty of sin is death. Yet I have overcome death, having written your name in the Book of Life from the very foundation of the world. What is left then? Only the death of sin itself, and the passing away of death.
Beloved, cast off your sins, depart quickly from temptation, and to the accuser turn a deaf ear. For I tell you the truth, evil has lost its grip on the redeemed. Therefore hear My words, and also do them; give heed to My speech, and embrace all I have given you; drink deeply from this cup, and be created anew, says The Lord your Redeemer." (From “A Stone of Stumbling”)

If we confess our sins, He is faithful and just to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness. (1 John 1:9)

Who is a God like You, pardoning iniquity and passing over the transgression of the remnant of His heritage? He does not retain His anger forever, because He delights in mercy. He will again have compassion on us, and will subdue our iniquities. You will cast all our sins into the depths of the sea. (Micah 7:18-19)

He who covers his sins will not prosper, but whoever confesses and forsakes them will have mercy. (Proverbs 28:13)

In Him we have redemption through His blood, the forgiveness of sins, according to the riches of His grace. (Ephesians 1:7)

"My son, I died for the forgiveness of your sins - those of today, yesterday, and those sins of tomorrow. Yet man does continually stumble over his flesh, being tempted in a world filled with sin. And so he must continually come to Me, and even seventy times seven times shall I cleanse him and lift him up." (From “Born Again”)

"Thus says The Lord to His servant: Timothy, your sins are forgiven you; today’s, yesterday’s, and yes, even those sins of tomorrow are forgiven those of a sincere and penitent heart. For by the blood of My Only Begotten Son are you made clean; by His shed blood are you made worthy, by His suffering are you purged and by His stripes are you healed. Therefore one who asks anything in The Messiah’s name, in accordance with My will, shall surely have it, starting with the forgiveness of sins." (From “The Promise”)

"My son, I carried the infirmities of all those who came to Me in faith. In the same way, I carried their sin though I had no part in sin Myself. I am completely clean, and because of this, all who come to Me in sincerity and in truth are clean also.
My son, I carried the weight of the world’s sin to the cross, and crucified sin through My suffering; the penalty of sin abolished as I fell asleep, The Victory established for all time upon My rising. For I am and will always be The Perfect Lamb, without spot or blemish, given up for many... The Restoration of All Things, says The Lord." (From “Without Spot or Blemish”)

"For My grace descends upon all who repent in sincerity and in truth, and My spirit dwells within those who keep The Commandments and testify to My glory. Therefore, My son, receive of Me; then will that which you seek become clear. For your heart’s true desire can not be found in the world... Seek God!" (From “Seek The Lord and He Will Open The Way”)

Follow Me

From YahuShua HaMashiach, Our Lord and Savior
The Word of The Lord Spoken to Timothy

"Listen closely
And take My words to heart,
All you who call of yourselves Christian:
I ask you, do you really love Me?...

Then follow Me...

Beloved ones, listen closely
And take My words to heart,
All you who call of yourselves Christian:
Do you really love Me?...

Then obey My Word! Follow Me!...

Beloved, listen closely
And take My words to heart,
All you who call of yourselves Christian:
Do you really love Me?!...

Then heed My voice and come out!...

FOLLOW ME!"

Purity Part Three: True Repentance

If we confess our sins, He is faithful and just to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness. (1 John 1:9)

  • What is true repentance? True repentance is two-fold:
First, we must acknowledge our sin, and repent, asking The Lord for forgiveness.
Second, we must strive toward purity, and endeavor to no longer sin.
Both are required for true repentance.

True Repentance in The Scriptures of Truth

Bear fruit in keeping with repentance. (Matthew 3:8)

If my people who are called by my name humble themselves, and pray and seek my face and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from heaven and will forgive their sin and heal their land. (2 Chronicles 7:14)

But declared first to those in Damascus, then in Jerusalem and throughout all the region of Judea, and also to the Gentiles, that they should repent and turn to God, performing deeds in keeping with their repentance. (Acts 26:20)

Whoever conceals his transgressions will not prosper, but he who confesses and forsakes them will obtain mercy. (Proverbs 28:13)

Remember therefore from where you have fallen; repent, and do the works you did at first. If not, I will come to you and remove your lampstand from its place, unless you repent. (Revelation 2:5)

Bear fruits in keeping with repentance. And do not begin to say to yourselves, ‘We have Abraham as our father.’ For I tell you, God is able from these stones to raise up children for Abraham. (Luke 3:8)

Therefore I will judge you, O house of Israel, every one according to his ways, declares The Lord God. Repent and turn from all your transgressions, lest iniquity be your ruin. Cast away from you all the transgressions that you have committed, and make yourselves a new heart and a new spirit! Why will you die, O house of Israel? For I have no pleasure in the death of anyone, declares The Lord God; so turn, and live. (Ezekiel 18:30-32)

But if a wicked man turns from all his sins which he has committed, keeps all My statutes, and does what is lawful and right, he shall surely live; he shall not die. None of the transgressions which he has committed shall be remembered against him; because of the righteousness which he has done, he shall live. (Ezekiel 18:21-22)

Therefore say to them, Thus declares The Lord of hosts: Return to me, says The Lord of hosts, and I will return to you, says The Lord of hosts. (Zechariah 1:3)

It may be they will listen, and every one turn from his evil way, that I may relent of the disaster that I intend to do to them because of their evil deeds. (Jeremiah 26:3)

Seek The Lord while he may be found; call upon him while he is near; let the wicked forsake his way, and the unrighteous man his thoughts; let him return to The Lord, that he may have compassion on him, and to our God, for he will abundantly pardon. (Isaiah 55:6-7)

“Therefore come out from among them and be separate, says The Lord. Do not touch what is unclean, and I will receive you. I will be a Father to you, and you shall be My sons and daughters,” says The Lord Almighty. Therefore, having these promises, beloved, let us cleanse ourselves from all filthiness of the flesh and spirit, perfecting holiness in the fear of God. (2 Corinthians 6:17-18; 7:1)

But if we walk in the light as He is in the light, we have fellowship with one another, and the blood of YahuShua HaMashiach His Son cleanses us from all sin. (1 John 1:7)

“Therefore I will judge you, O house of Israel, every one according to his ways,” declares The Lord God. “Repent and turn from all your transgressions, lest iniquity be your ruin”. (Ezekiel 18:30)

She said, “No one, Lord.” And YahuShua said, “Neither do I condemn you; go, and from now on sin no more.” (John 8:11)

True Repentance in The Volumes of Truth

"Thus says The Lord YahuShua: I have cleansed My well beloved, even every vessel, as many as are willing to receive, as many as are willing to walk in My ways and make their repentance full. Yet who among you has truly received? Who among you has made every effort to cast off his old nature and walk free? Who has come to Me naked that he may be clothed in My righteousness, that I might gird him with My strength?" (From “Watchmen”)

"In repentance I am always well pleased. Therefore let the penitent now turn fully to God, and do works meet for repentance. Let them no more be as the hypocrite, but let them walk close behind Me, abiding in the shadow of The Almighty. And let the wife in her youth learn piety at home, for this is good and acceptable before God. And what more shall I speak than that which I have spoken already? Therefore believe My words, and also do them, says The Lord." (From “Repentance”)

"Thus I call upon the sons of men, even all who dwell upon the earth, to repent, to turn from your wicked ways, to bring forth new works worthy of repentance... Oh that justice would well up like water, and righteousness as an ever-flowing stream." (From “ABASEMENT”)

"Therefore call on My name and make your repentance full, by departing from those things which are not lawful, standing apart from those things I hate, and you shall surely be delivered, says The Lord." (From “Obey God”)

"If you ask of Me forgiveness, I shall surely forgive you, even for all you have done. Yet to continue in those same sins, for which you had sought forgiveness, is most unpleasant in My sight. For by doing so, you have made My forgiveness of no effect. For that which requires forgiveness is the very same from which you must depart, lest your repentance become unrepentance, crucifying Me again and again in your heart.
For repentance is more than the asking. It must come from a deep desire to be set free in My love, followed by a sincere unyielding commitment to make your love perfect through your obedience, the shedding of the skin of this world, the crucifying of your old man with his sinful ways... The putting on of the new man who is renewed in the knowledge of The Holy One, conforming to the image of Him who created him, says The Lord." (From “Blessed Are Those Who Overcome for My Name’s Sake”)

"For those without the gate retain their sin, for they hold fast to malice and have not yet departed from wickedness. Yet the hearts of the first election are filled with compassion and a sincere desire to walk in My ways, having called upon My name in sincerity and in truth, as they bring forth new works meet for repentance." (From “Do This in Remembrance of Me”)

"For I died; behold, I am risen! I am alive forevermore! Amen! And as I live, so shall the penitent man live. Even if he should turn and stumble, his salvation is in no wise lost to him. For he has an Advocate with The Father, One who stands in his place, having already paid the full price for his transgression; behold, his sin is remembered no more, cast into a dark sea of forgetfulness!... And oh how blessed are those who strive always to make their repentance full, says The Lord." (From “Salvation Is Given and Must Be Received; Once Received, Forever Shall It Belong to the Redeemed”)

"Does not conviction also bring about
Revelation in those in whom My spirit dwells?
And when it is finished, does it not also lead to
Repentance, producing new and righteous works?...

A deep desire to be set free in My love,
Followed by a sincere unyielding commitment
To make your love perfect through obedience...

The shedding of the skin of this world,
The crucifying of your old man with his sinful ways,
The putting on of the new man who is renewed
In the knowledge of The Holy One, conforming
To the image of Him who created him?...

For this, My son, is true repentance, says The Lord."

~ From: "True Repentance"

Purity Part Four: Purification Through the Word of God

The Lord your God is a consuming fire, My every word a purifying flame! The presence of The Lord is an oppressive storm, which abases the proud and causes the high-minded to flee! And that which I have spoken to this generation, is it not a sword with which I shall strike to the heart of this people?! For I shall surely set all these crooked paths straight, and burn away the dross!
Yet for those who trust in Me and in whom My spirit dwells, My words are like a strong tower set in the midst of battle, which can in no wise be broken down! - A great trumpet blowing upon the hill outside the city, which echoes throughout the waste places! A waving banner for this generation, a bright light, a beacon, shining in the midst of this present darkness! A rod of justice for the oppressed and the persecuted, a loosening of the chains placed upon My people, the breaking apart of every shackle!... Freedom for those who love Me, deliverance for those who understand, strength for the weak, grace to the humble, manna to nourish the penitent, says The Lord. (From "The Word of God")

The Word of God Purifies His People

"Beloved ones, if I am He who reigns in your heart, The One of whom you testify is love and mercy, The One alone who knows all things, why do you resist My correction and seek only to embrace that which is soft? If I speak, and My words carry My spirit, put no difference between them. For everything which comes from the mouth of The Lord your God is a blessing for all... A song for all those who have ears to hear, a vision to all who have eyes to see My splendor, painted by the Word of My glory, an overflowing fountain inside those whose hearts are wide open.
Beloved, it is time for you to truly believe without seeing, to obey My voice, whether soft or hard. It is time for you to follow your heart, and no more bow to the demands of your mind. It is time for you to embrace Me as I truly am, says The Lord." (From “Blessed by The Word of God”)

Sanctify them in the truth; your Word is truth. (John 17:17)

"Beloved, this Word, even every Volume to every Letter, is the Word of My glory which I have put forth once again; a testament of My love and sacrifice, the announcement of My coming, a proclamation of truth, revelation of who I really am - the Trumpet Call of God, so all those called and chosen may hear and come to Me in their proper time and season.
Behold, it is also a strong correction for all those who have taken to themselves MY name and MY Word, to pollute it, a plumb line for this wicked generation.
For this Word is a waving banner, an ensign to all nations! - A trumpet of alarm and war, the sound of recompense and judgment, which shall soon fall upon every nation! For I AM WHO I AM!… The Only Begotten of The Father, The One True God and Savior, The Mashiach! YAHUSHUA-YAHUWAH!" (From “Know That Which Has Been Poured Out, The Word of God”)

"For the Word of God is living and powerful; sharper than any double-edged sword, piercing to where the soul meets the spirit, cutting through to where the joint meets the bone, even to the marrow; a discerner of the thoughts, a judge of the innermost intentions!
Therefore, let all who behold My words look upon them as an ensign, as a waving banner brought forth and set up for this wayward generation, even as a trumpet and alarm blowing continually upon the wall. Let its sound rush through the streets of the cities! Let its noise be carried into the wilderness, even to the outermost isles! And let all those who have ears to hear listen, and be silent before their God, and pray. Indeed, let all in the earth partake of My Word and be brought into deep and profound silence, and consider, says The Lord." (From “Let All in the Earth Be Brought into Deep and Profound Silence”)

Now when the tempter came to Him, he said, “If You are The Son of God, command that these stones become bread.” But He answered and said, “It is written, ‘Man shall not live by bread alone, but by every word that proceeds from the mouth of God.’ “ (Matthew 4:3-4)

"Therefore, as blades of grass are beset with dew in the cool of the night, even till the morning, so shall I beset you with My words - each word a glistening drop from Heaven, every letter a shining jewel. Through you shall I set all these crooked paths straight, preparing My way before Me. Indeed, I shall reveal Myself to many, and by this Word, which I shall cause you to write, shall they begin to see Me as I truly am." (From “Humility and The Word of God”)

All Scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness, that the man of God may be complete, thoroughly equipped for every good work. (2 Timothy 3:16-17)

Your Word is a lamp to my feet and a light to my path. (Psalm 119:105)

For this reason we also thank God without ceasing, because when you received the Word of God which you heard from us, you welcomed it not as the word of men, but as it is in truth, the Word of God, which also effectively works in you who believe. (1 Thessalonians 2:13)

Let the Word of Christ dwell in you richly in all wisdom, teaching and admonishing one another in psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, singing with grace in your hearts to the Lord. (Colossians 3:16)

You are already clean because of the Word which I have spoken to you. (John 15:3)

Psalm 119

Blessed are the undefiled in the way, who walk in the law of the Lord! Blessed are those who keep His testimonies, who seek Him with the whole heart! They also do no iniquity; they walk in His ways. You have commanded us to keep Your precepts diligently. Oh, that my ways were directed to keep Your statutes! Then I would not be ashamed, when I look into all Your commandments. I will praise You with uprightness of heart, when I learn Your righteous judgments. I will keep Your statutes; oh, do not forsake me utterly!
How can a young man cleanse his way? By taking heed according to Your Word. With my whole heart I have sought You; oh, let me not wander from Your commandments! Your Word I have hidden in my heart, that I might not sin against You!
Blessed are You, O Lord! Teach me Your statutes! With my lips I have declared all the judgments of Your mouth. I have rejoiced in the way of Your testimonies, as much as in all riches. I will meditate on Your precepts, and contemplate Your ways. I will delight myself in Your statutes; I will not forget Your Word.  Deal bountifully with Your servant, that I may live and keep Your Word.
Open my eyes, that I may see wondrous things from Your law. I am a stranger in the earth; do not hide Your commandments from me. My soul breaks with longing for Your judgments at all times. You rebuke the proud--the cursed, who stray from Your commandments. Remove from me reproach and contempt, for I have kept Your testimonies. Princes also sit and speak against me, but Your servant meditates on Your statutes.
Your testimonies also are my delight and my counselors. My soul clings to the dust; revive me according to Your Word. I have declared my ways, and You answered me; teach me Your statutes. Make me understand the way of Your precepts; so shall I meditate on Your wondrous works. My soul melts from heaviness; strengthen me according to Your Word. Remove from me the way of lying, and grant me Your law graciously.
I have chosen the way of truth; Your judgments I have laid before me. I cling to Your testimonies; O Lord, do not put me to shame! I will run the course of Your commandments, for You shall enlarge my heart. Teach me, O Lord, the way of Your statutes, and I shall keep it to the end. Give me understanding, and I shall keep Your law; Indeed, I shall observe it with my whole heart. Make me walk in the path of Your commandments, for I delight in it. Incline my heart to Your testimonies, and not to covetousness.
Turn away my eyes from looking at worthless things, and revive me in Your way. Establish Your Word to Your servant, who is devoted to fearing You. Turn away my reproach which I dread, for Your judgments are good. Behold, I long for Your precepts; revive me in Your righteousness. Let Your mercies come also to me, O Lord-- Your salvation according to Your Word. So shall I have an answer for him who reproaches me, for I trust in Your Word. And take not the word of truth utterly out of my mouth, for I have hoped in Your ordinances.
So shall I keep Your law continually, forever and ever. And I will walk at liberty, for I seek Your precepts. I will speak of Your testimonies also before kings, and will not be ashamed. And I will delight myself in Your commandments, which I love. My hands also I will lift up to Your commandments, which I love, and I will meditate on Your statutes. Remember the word to Your servant, upon which You have caused me to hope. This is my comfort in my affliction, for Your Word has given me life. The proud have me in great derision, yet I do not turn aside from Your law. I remembered Your judgments of old, O Lord, and have comforted myself.
Indignation has taken hold of me because of the wicked, who forsake Your law. Your statutes have been my songs in the house of my pilgrimage. I remember Your name in the night, O Lord, and I keep Your law. This has become mine, because I kept Your precepts.
You are my portion, O Lord; I have said that I would keep Your words. I entreated Your favor with my whole heart; be merciful to me according to Your word. I thought about my ways, and turned my feet to Your testimonies. I made haste, and did not delay to keep Your commandments. The cords of the wicked have bound me, but I have not forgotten Your law. At midnight I will rise to give thanks to You, because of Your righteous judgments. I am a companion of all who fear You, and of those who keep Your precepts.
The earth, O Lord, is full of Your mercy; teach me Your statutes. You have dealt well with Your servant, O Lord, according to Your Word. Teach me good judgment and knowledge, for I believe Your commandments. Before I was afflicted I went astray, but now I keep Your Word. You are good, and do good; teach me Your statutes. The proud have forged a lie against me, but I will keep Your precepts with my whole heart. Their heart is as fat as grease, but I delight in Your law. It is good for me that I have been afflicted, that I may learn Your statutes. The law of Your mouth is better to me than thousands of coins of gold and silver. Your hands have made me and fashioned me; give me understanding, that I may learn Your commandments. Those who fear You will be glad when they see me, because I have hoped in Your Word.
I know, O Lord, that Your judgments are right, and that in faithfulness You have afflicted me. Let, I pray, Your merciful kindness be for my comfort, according to Your Word to Your servant. Let Your tender mercies come to me, that I may live; for Your law is my delight. Let the proud be ashamed, for they treated me wrongfully with falsehood; but I will meditate on Your precepts. Let those who fear You turn to me, those who know Your testimonies. Let my heart be blameless regarding Your statutes, that I may not be ashamed. My soul faints for Your salvation, but I hope in Your Word. My eyes fail from searching Your Word, saying, “When will You comfort me?” For I have become like a wineskin in smoke, yet I do not forget Your statutes. How many are the days of Your servant? When will You execute judgment on those who persecute me? The proud have dug pits for me, which is not according to Your law. All Your commandments are faithful; they persecute me wrongfully; help me! They almost made an end of me on earth, but I did not forsake Your precepts. Revive me according to Your lovingkindness, so that I may keep the testimony of Your mouth. Forever, O Lord, Your Word is settled in heaven. Your faithfulness endures to all generations; You established the earth, and it abides. They continue this day according to Your ordinances, for all are Your servants. Unless Your law had been my delight, I would then have perished in my affliction. I will never forget Your precepts, for by them You have given me life.
I am Yours, save me; for I have sought Your precepts. The wicked wait for me to destroy me, but I will consider Your testimonies. I have seen the consummation of all perfection, but Your commandment is exceedingly broad. Oh, how I love Your law! It is my meditation all the day. You, through Your commandments, make me wiser than my enemies; for they are ever with me. I have more understanding than all my teachers, for Your testimonies are my meditation. I understand more than the ancients, because I keep Your precepts. I have restrained my feet from every evil way, that I may keep Your Word. I have not departed from Your judgments, for You Yourself have taught me. How sweet are Your Words to my taste, sweeter than honey to my mouth! Through Your precepts I get understanding; therefore I hate every false way. Your Word is a lamp to my feet and a light to my path.
I have sworn and confirmed that I will keep Your righteous judgments. I am afflicted very much; revive me, O Lord, according to Your Word. Accept, I pray, the freewill offerings of my mouth, O Lord, and teach me Your judgments. My life is continually in my hand, yet I do not forget Your law. The wicked have laid a snare for me, yet I have not strayed from Your precepts. Your testimonies I have taken as a heritage forever, for they are the rejoicing of my heart. I have inclined my heart to perform Your statutes forever, to the very end.
I hate the double-minded, but I love Your law. You are my hiding place and my shield; I hope in Your Word. Depart from me, you evildoers, for I will keep the commandments of my God! Uphold me according to Your Word, that I may live; and do not let me be ashamed of my hope. Hold me up, and I shall be safe, and I shall observe Your statutes continually. You reject all those who stray from Your statutes, for their deceit is falsehood. You put away all the wicked of the earth like dross; therefore I love Your testimonies.
My flesh trembles for fear of You, and I am afraid of Your judgments. I have done justice and righteousness; do not leave me to my oppressors. Be surety for Your servant for good; do not let the proud oppress me. My eyes fail from seeking Your salvation and Your righteous word. Deal with Your servant according to Your mercy, and teach me Your statutes. I am Your servant; give me understanding, that I may know Your testimonies. It is time for You to act, O Lord, for they have regarded Your law as void. Therefore I love Your commandments more than gold, yes, than fine gold! Therefore all Your precepts concerning all things I consider to be right; I hate every false way. Your testimonies are wonderful; therefore my soul keeps them. The entrance of Your Words gives light; it gives understanding to the simple. I opened my mouth and panted, for I longed for Your commandments. Look upon me and be merciful to me, as Your custom is toward those who love Your name. Direct my steps by Your Word, and let no iniquity have dominion over me. Redeem me from the oppression of man, that I may keep Your precepts. Make Your face shine upon Your servant, and teach me Your statutes. Rivers of water run down from my eyes, because men do not keep Your law.
Righteous are You, O Lord, and upright are Your judgments. Your testimonies, which You have commanded, are righteous and very faithful. My zeal has consumed me, because my enemies have forgotten Your Words. Your Word is very pure; therefore Your servant loves it. I am small and despised, yet I do not forget Your precepts. Your righteousness is an everlasting righteousness, and Your law is truth. Trouble and anguish have overtaken me, yet Your commandments are my delights.
The righteousness of Your testimonies is everlasting; give me understanding, and I shall live. I cry out with my whole heart; hear me, O Lord! I will keep Your statutes. I cry out to You; save me, and I will keep Your testimonies. I rise before the dawning of the morning, and cry for help; I hope in Your Word. My eyes are awake through the night watches, that I may meditate on Your Word. Hear my voice according to Your lovingkindness; O Lord, revive me according to Your justice.
They draw near who follow after wickedness; they are far from Your law. You are near, O Lord, and all Your commandments are truth. Concerning Your testimonies, I have known of old that You have founded them forever. Consider my affliction and deliver me, for I do not forget Your law. Plead my cause and redeem me; revive me according to Your Word. Salvation is far from the wicked, for they do not seek Your statutes. Great are Your tender mercies, O Lord; revive me according to Your judgments.
Many are my persecutors and my enemies, yet I do not turn from Your testimonies. I see the treacherous, and am disgusted, because they do not keep Your Word. Consider how I love Your precepts; revive me, O Lord, according to Your lovingkindness. The entirety of Your Word is truth, and every one of Your righteous judgments endures forever. Princes persecute me without a cause, but my heart stands in awe of Your Word. I rejoice at Your Word as one who finds great treasure. I hate and abhor lying, but I love Your law. Seven times a day I praise You, because of Your righteous judgments. Great peace have those who love Your law, and nothing causes them to stumble.
Lord, I hope for Your salvation, and I do Your commandments. My soul keeps Your testimonies, and I love them exceedingly. I keep Your precepts and Your testimonies, for all my ways are before You. Let my cry come before You, O Lord; give me understanding according to Your Word. Let my supplication come before You; deliver me according to Your Word. My lips shall utter praise, for You teach me Your statutes. My tongue shall speak of Your Word, for all Your commandments are righteousness. Let Your hand become my help, for I have chosen Your precepts. I long for Your salvation, O Lord, and Your law is my delight. Let my soul live, and it shall praise You; and let Your judgments help me. I have gone astray like a lost sheep; seek Your servant, For I do not forget Your commandments.

Purity Part Five: Purified in the Spirit

"Thus says The Lord, concerning baptism: Let My beloved first be baptized in spirit and in truth, filled with the knowledge of The Holy, nourished by the Word of Truth. Let them come to Me in sincere repentance, and receive forgiveness of sins in The Messiah’s name... All burdens lifted, immersed and purified in the Spirit of God. For The Holy One of Israel is He who baptizes with the Holy Spirit and with fire, and He knows His own." (From "Be Baptized in The Living Waters of Spirit and Truth")

"And though these have sinned in the body, as all men, they are fully immersed in the Spirit of Truth, enveloped in The Son’s sacrifice, cleansed in the blood of The Lamb... Behold the chosen vessels of The Lord. They are washed and made clean, both in body and spirit, remade, vessels of honor, meet for The Master’s use." (From “Chosen Vessels”)

But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, long-suffering, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, self-control. Against such there is no law. And those who are Christ’s have crucified the flesh with its passions and desires. If we live in the Spirit, let us also walk in the Spirit. (Galatians 5:22-25)

"For you do always hold out the hand against the cleansing of the Spirit, you do always reject the Word of The Lord!" (From “I Am Calling You Out! (Part 2)... Come Out of the Churches of Men and I Will Receive You! Says The Lord”)

Having one’s mind controlled by the old nature is death, but having one’s mind controlled by the Spirit is life and shalom. (Romans 8:6)

"This question was asked of The Lord, regarding Luke 15:11-32: Lord, have I become hard like the older son? Have I put my hand to tasks, and forgotten to build up compassion for those who have gone astray? Is this story meant to convict me, Lord?
[The Lord answered] If your heart is convicted, then has it not also given answer to your prayer already, revealing the Spirit which dwells within you, of what sort it is? For only the Spirit of Truth will bring forth conviction unto righteousness, bearing much fruit in The Beloved, says The Lord." (From “The Spirit of Truth Brings Conviction”)

And such were some of you. But you were washed, but you were sanctified, but you were justified in the name of The Lord YahuShua and by the Spirit of our God. ~ 1 Corinthians 6:11

"Beloved, let your tears flow when the Spirit convicts you. Let them cleanse your eyes so you may see, as your heart is set free. And no more resist the cleansing of The Lord." (From “Breaking Through the Barriers”)

Purity Part Six: Purified Through the Blood of Messiah

"Therefore, I ask you, what defilement remains? For what The Lord has cleansed, in the blood of The Lamb, is a new creation - virgin...
All men are defiled, having fallen into all manner of diverse temptations; there is none righteous in all the earth, no, not one. Yet all who repent, in sincerity and in truth, are cleansed in the blood of The Lamb, which is pure and holy. Therefore, those whom I have called to be My witnesses must become pure in heart and in spirit, set apart from the world and the churches of men, who cease not from polluting My name and marring My image before the people." (From “All Have Been Purchased... Yet Few Have Accepted, Few Are Chosen”)

Then one of the elders answered, saying to me, “Who are these arrayed in white robes, and where did they come from?” And I said to him, “Sir, you know.” So he said to me, “These are the ones who come out of the great tribulation, and washed their robes and made them white in the blood of the Lamb. (Revelation 7:13-14)

"Yet understand this, all you haughty scholars and prideful teachers, even all you who call of yourselves Christian who make arrogant assertions without knowledge, you lack trust and have no understanding! Nor do you know your God, nor that covenant written in My own blood, which is The New and Everlasting Covenant. For I died; behold, I am risen! I am alive forevermore! Amen! And as I live, so shall the penitent man live. Even if he should turn and stumble, his salvation is in no wise lost to him. For he has an Advocate with The Father, One who stands in his place, having already paid the full price for his transgression; behold, his sin is remembered no more, cast into a dark sea of forgetfulness! And oh how blessed are those who strive always to make their repentance full, says The Lord...
They shall come to Me by great tribulation and shall be made white in My own blood, bringing glory to My name, even the name of The Father who is in Heaven, the name We share. And they shall all become one flock, with one Shepherd. Behold, I shall be their God, and they shall be My people, forever! Says The Lord." (From “Salvation Is Given and Must Be Received; Once Received, Forever Shall It Belong to the Redeemed”)

For if the blood of bulls and goats and the ashes of a heifer, sprinkling the unclean, sanctifies for the purifying of the flesh, how much more shall the blood of Christ, who through the eternal Spirit offered Himself without spot to God, cleanse your conscience from dead works to serve the living God? (Hebrews 9:13-14)

"Therefore I have gathered to Myself a special offering, of the number, empty vessels void of all doctrine taught within the churches of men. And though these have sinned in the body, as all men, they are fully immersed in the Spirit of Truth, enveloped in The Son’s sacrifice, cleansed in the blood of The Lamb... Behold the chosen vessels of The Lord. They are washed and made clean, both in body and spirit, remade, vessels of honor, meet for The Master’s use. Behold, they are filled with the pure water, of which they shall continually pour into the cups of the thirsty. I AM THE LORD." (From “Chosen Vessels”)

"Your sins are forgiven you; today’s, yesterday’s, and yes, even those sins of tomorrow are forgiven those of a sincere and penitent heart.

But if we walk in the light as He is in the light, we have fellowship with one another, and the blood of YahuShua HaMashiach His Son cleanses us from all sin. If we say that we have no sin, we deceive ourselves, and the truth is not in us. If we confess our sins, He is faithful and just to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness. (1 John 1:7-9)

"Beloved, heed My words and listen closely to My speech; for thus says The Lord to the church at His right hand, if you do indeed seek to remain at My right hand: Forbear not, nor reject My Word spoken to this generation, lest I leave you unto refinement also. For your robes have been made white, washed in the blood of The Lamb." (From “Under God”)

Therefore, brothers and sisters, since we have confidence to enter the Most Holy Place by the blood of YahuShua, by a new and living way opened for us through the curtain, that is, his body, and since we have a great priest over the house of God, let us draw near to God with a sincere heart and with the full assurance that faith brings, having our hearts sprinkled to cleanse us from a guilty conscience and having our bodies washed with pure water. Let us hold unswervingly to the hope we profess, for He who promised is faithful. (Hebrews 10:19-23)

"Beloved, where in The Commandments have I written all must be baptized by men to be saved? Baptism is indeed good, if it is a confession poured out from one’s heart in pure belief, an outward act of faith revealing one’s acceptance of their forgiveness in The Messiah. For the water of the earth can only cleanse that which is soiled on the skin. By no means can it cleanse that which is soiled in the spirit; this is reserved for the blood of The Lamb." (From “The True Baptism”)

When Moses had proclaimed every command of the law to all the people, he took the blood of calves, together with water, scarlet wool and branches of hyssop, and sprinkled the scroll and all the people. He said, “This is the blood of the covenant, which God has commanded you to keep.” In the same way, he sprinkled with the blood both the tabernacle and everything used in its ceremonies. In fact, the law requires that nearly everything be cleansed with blood, and without the shedding of blood there is no forgiveness. It was necessary, then, for the copies of the heavenly things to be purified with these sacrifices, but the heavenly things themselves with better sacrifices than these. For Christ did not enter a sanctuary made with human hands that was only a copy of the true one; he entered heaven itself, now to appear for us in God’s presence. Nor did he enter heaven to offer himself again and again, the way the high priest enters the Most Holy Place every year with blood that is not his own. Otherwise Christ would have had to suffer many times since the creation of the world. But he has appeared once for all at the culmination of the ages to do away with sin by the sacrifice of himself. Just as people are destined to die once, and after that to face judgment, so Christ was sacrificed once to take away the sins of many; and he will appear a second time, not to bear sin, but to bring salvation to those who are waiting for him. (Hebrews 9:19-28)

I Am The Passover and The Lamb, The New Covenant with Men

Thus says The Messiah who is called Christ, The Holy One of Israel: I am The Lamb of God without spot or blemish, the blood which was shed and placed upon the doorposts, delivering My people from the power of sin, which is death. I am The Passover.
For as it is written in The Law, all things must be purified with blood, and without the shedding of blood there can be no remission. Thus no one goes to The Father, unless they receive of Me. Unless they eat My flesh and drink My blood, they have no life in them. For whosoever eats My flesh and drinks My blood has everlasting life, and I will raise them up at the Last Day. For My flesh is food indeed, and My blood is drink indeed. Thus all who eat My flesh and drink My blood live in Me, and I in them.
I am The Living Bread which came down from Heaven! If anyone eats this bread, he will live forever! And the bread that I gave was My flesh, which was given for the life of the world. This I have already told you. Therefore keep the Passover in remembrance of Me and My Passion, according to The New Covenant. For it is accomplished, and was sealed forevermore upon My resurrection. For The Lamb was slain, My people redeemed in all the earth; and behold, I am risen, crowned with glory and honor, forever and ever. Amen.

Therefore, again I say to you, celebrate Passover, yet not as in the days of Moses; nor as the unbelieving in Israel, upon whom the veil remains, for they have yet to look upon Me. For the Passover was a signpost, a shadow of glorious things to come. Read the writing thereof and have understanding, take its meaning to heart. For the Holy Days are revelation, the Plan of the Ages revealed.

Therefore rejoice, My people, for your Redeemer lives!
Death has passed over you!...

Therefore eat, drink, and give thanks
In remembrance of Me, and I shall also
Remember you in the day I gather My own...

Then shall you truly know Me,
Just as I have always known you,
Even from the foundation of the world...

Says He who is, and was, and is to come,
YahuShua, The Salvation of God.
